Bhoothnath - scary movie or family fun?

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/bhoothnath.jpg

Bhoothnath is about a ghost (Amitabh Bachchan) who refuses to let anyone live in his house and scares everyone away. Banku (Aman Siddiqui) and his mother Anjali (Juhi Chawli) move into the new house at Nath Villa. Banku befriends the ghost and calls him Bhoothnath (literally meaning "ghost Nath). Now Banku learns why his ghostly friend is stuck and helps him attain salvation to move on with his afterlife.

When I first saw the trailer for Bhoothnath, I didn't know what to think about the movie. I saw a little boy dancing around with Amitabh Bachchan. I didn't fully understand the storyline. So I ended watching the movie anyways because Shah Rukh Khan is in the movie with Juhi Chawla. Yah! I love them together.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_009.jpg

During the beginning of the movie, it looks like you're going to watch a horror film. You have Aashish Chaudhry and Nauheed Cyrusi going to the Nath Villa to settle in (it doesn't look like it to me though - looks like they were trying to get "busy" that night cause it was dark and just found an empty home).

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_038.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_042.jpg

Amitabh Bachchan as the ghost. Honestly, he looked like a homeless man instead with his unkept hair, looked really tired and old, unhappy. Bad make up. I know people who have complained about seeing the Big B everywhere. He is everywhere but he IS a good actor. I enjoy watching his films.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_013.jpg

Rajpal Yadav has a short role but worth mentioning. (1) He is homeless so makes me think maybe he is a ghost? hahahaha. (2) He's a good comedian. He plays the guy who Anjali (Juhi Chawla) hires to clean up the house because no one else would do it cause they are scared of the house. Rajpal is a poor homeless guy who needs money and was stealing from Anjali.

The beautiful Nath Villa home. The new family moves in.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_016.jpg

The family who moves in the Nath Villa home - Aditya (Shah Rukh Khan), Anjali (Juhi Chawla), and Banku (Aman Siddiqui). Aditya works on a ship and has to leave his wife and son. It was great to see Shah Rukh and Juhi again. Can we have more of them next time?

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_045.jpg

Did I mention I love Shah Rukh? I do. I am not obsess about him as others are. Ever since I saw him in Baazigar, I loved his acting. I've been following up on his career. Although sometimes it seems that I'm not a fan of his, I am. I just don't like his fans who are blinded by his movies and refuse to watch other talented actors out there too. I especially love his jodi with Kajol and Juhi. Sometimes Shah Rukh does overact, I admit but I still love his movies.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_046.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_019.jpg

Juhi is soooo cute in this movie. I'm just happy to see her again on screen post marriage. She's been in quite a few films. A lot of them have been non Masala films. I wish I would see Shah Rukh and Juhi in a mature romantic love story. Why not? Hollywood does it. Bollywood needs to do that too. Juhi looks better with age and still looking young.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_039.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_022.jpg

Aman (Aman Siddiqui) goes by the nickname Banku. He is just so adorable. He actually have the main role in the film next to Bhoothnath (Amitabh Bachchan). Banku is the new kid on the block and often gets pick on by his school rival Jojo.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_023.jpg

Jojo (sorry, don't know his real name, if anyone knows, lemme know so I could write it). He's the bully. He picks on Banku. Gets Banku in trouble. Wants to beat Banku in everything.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_024.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_026.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_028.jpg

The rival song between Banku and Jojo shocked me. I can see how some may think it's cute and cool to dress up little kids in gangster wear.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_034.jpg

I think the dances were cute but the girls in skimpy outfits? Noooooo!!!!!! Why??

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_052.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_058.jpg

Maybe it's just cool dressing like that....

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_068.jpg

Once you get happy, you look normal now....oh by the ways, his name is actually Kailash in the film.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_067.jpg

I thought I'll mention Delnaaz Paul cause people remember her as Sweetu as Naina's (Preity Zinta) best friend in Kal Ho Naa Ho. She plays Jojo's mother in the movie. The little rivalry between Anjali and her were cute because both wanted their kids to do the best in the sports competitions.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/PDVD_069.jpg

Priyanshu Chatterjee plays Vijay, the son of Kailash. It was great to see him again after so long. Loved him in Tum Bin then he disappeared and came back in a supporting role in Madhoshi. He had a lot of potential. Would like to see more of him again.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Bhoothnath/bhoothnath02.jpg

I enjoyed Bhoothnath. It was better than I expected. Kept my interest in the movie. The little kids were cute. I think you can watch this with your kids. Some may disagree because of how it ended but it all depends on your religious preferences.

Heyy Babyy - what's up with the double y's?

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/heybaby.jpg

Heyy Babyy is about three best friends Aroush (Akshay Kumar), Ali (Fardeen Khan), and Tanmay (Ritiesh Deshmukh) who are bachelors and are having the time of their lives. Until one day, a baby is placed at their doorstep to take care of since one of the is the father. But which guy? And who is the mother?

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/01.jpg

Yes, Heyy Babyy is the Bollywood version of Three Men and a Baby. I rolled my eyes at this movie at first because I knew it would be stupid - Three Men a Baby's storyline is so 90s. Plus you have three wannabe hip hop guys who think they are stud with a modern Vidya (she's been in traditional wear in all of her previous films) What's up with three guys? I've been seeing three - is that a lucky number? Think Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Shaadi No 1, Masti, etc. Also what's up with the double y's? Trying to make the title sound cool? After a long delay and watching arty Indian cinema, I decided to give this movie a try. Why not? I needed a good laugh. The music is great to dance to and I've been hearing the title song and "Mast Kalandar" everywhere!

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/03.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/02.jpg

Intro is cute and funny. Narrated by Akshay Kumar's character - Aroush - such a sexy voice too! First Tanmay is introduce. Teddy Tanmay who dresses up during the day time as a big, fluffy teddy bear to entertain little kids. At night, he entertains the ladies.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/04.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/05.jpg

Ali aka Al. Don't you know it's more cool to sound less desi? A favorite to ladies, he loves to have fun and gamble. Most of the time, gambling to see which lady who will take home at night.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/06.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/07.jpg

Let's not forget the narrator - Akoush. Three best friends. BFF for life! He's the confident stud who doesn't worry about his life. Not even the different ladies he's been with.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/24.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/25.jpg

Then you have the cute baby Angel. She is sooo adorable!! This little girl turn these careless bachelors around. She help made them think about their lives and how selfish they have been to the females they've been with.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/27.jpg

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/28.jpg

Vidya Balan is so beautiful. Many people criticize her modern look but I think she looks good either way. However, I do prefer her with traditional wear. She has that golden oldies look that matches traditional outfits more. It was good to see her go glamorous and modern. She's one of the few newcomers now that is really good. Isha is the mother of the cute Angel.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/26.jpg

It's always great to see Bomran Irani on the screen. Many will remember him from Main Hoon Naa. He plays the father who was looking out for his daughter Isha but realizes his mistakes.

http://www.filmiholic.com/images/Heyy%20Babyy/HeyyBabyy%202.jpg

Overall, Heyy Babyy is not a great movie but it's worth it if you want brainless humor.
There were a lot of guest appearances in this movie. Not as many as Om Shanti Om though. I was pleased and surprise to see all the guest appearances (maybe I will review Om Shanti Om - I have the dvd and I saw it in the theater a while back).

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/08.jpg

The title song, which is the first song of the movie and an intro to the movie after Akshay Kumar narrates his friends and him. Who better than to start off an item song than the famous item girl, the hot MILF in Bollywood (I don't care what anyone says. I would die to have a body like her - she's a mom and is looking hot!!) Malaika Arora-Khan! I knew it was her when I saw the back of her figure and legs.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/09.jpg

Celina Jaitley - not a fan of hers but I do think she's gorgeous

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/10.jpg

Minissha Lamba - like her, think she's good

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/11.jpg

Amrita Rao - cute girl, couldn't get a good cap of her

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/12.jpg

Tara Sharma - cute girl, I was waiting to see her big sis Kim in this song. Kim is seen more in Bollywood but Tara is cuter

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/13.jpg

Neha Dhupia - Knew she would be in this song. She's famous for being sexy. If Celina is in this song, why not Neha?

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/14.jpg

Dia Mirza - She's so adorable and cute. There's something about her that I really like. I don't think she's the best actress but I do like seeing her on screen.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/15.jpg

Amisha Patel - for some reason, I was surprise to see her in this song. I'm not impress with her dancing and she used to be a bigger name back in the Kaho Naa Pyar Hai days but I do think she is cute. Hopefully I will see more Gadar films from her.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/16.jpg

Sophiya Chaudhry - I'm a fan of her music. Love her voice! Most people don't like remixing Bollywood oldies into more modern, club upbeat songs but I love her style.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/17.jpg

Masumi Makhija - I had to look her up. She was the only girl in this song I didn't know. I realized she's the girl opposite Jimmy Shergill in Dus Kahaniyan. She did a good job in the movie. She's really pretty and would like to see more of her.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/18.jpg

Riya Sen - not really surprise to see her. I think she's one of the most beautiful Indian ladies. However, she can not act to save her life! Her sister Raima is a good actress though.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/19.jpg

Koena Mitra
- she's one of the best and underrated dancers in Bollywood. Loved her ever since I saw her in Road in the "Khullam Khulla Kare" song. I think she's gorgeous even though she's looking plastic lately.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/20.jpg

Amirta Arora
- wasn't surprised at all seeing her. Even though she's not as hot as sexy as her MILF older sister, I think she's cute.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/21.jpg

Shamita Shetty - quite surprise to see her since she's the younger, infamous sister of Shilpa Shetty. Haven't seen her in a while. I would prefer seeing her do the whole song since she's a good dancer too.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/23.jpg

Hrishtaa Bhatt - although she wasn't in the song, it was good just to see her. I think she's really cute. Most people will remember seeing her in Asoka. I think she looks like the Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano and the Telugu turn Hindi actress Genelia.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/29.jpg

Shah Rukh Khan
- almost forgot about him being in the movie. It was good seeing him for a few second. He looks really skinny in the movie and don't like the long hair in a ponytail.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/blogspot_images/Heyy%20Babyy/30.jpg

Kim Sharma - if her little sister is in the movie, why not her?
