Kya Kool Hai Hum - most mature adult Bollywood comedy ever

Rahul (Tusshar Kapoor) and Karan (Ritiesh Deshmukh) are college buddies and roommates. Both work for DK (Rajendranath Zutshi), who owns a fashion clothing store. When they are unable to pay for rent and got evicted, they continue to sneak in the apartment to live. DK goes to America for a business trip and both guys stay at DK's house. Karan falls in love with a girl who mistakens for as Kiran. The real Kiran (Bobby Darling) is DK's girlfriend who he is ignoring. In the meantime, there is a serial rapist/killer. The best cop Urmila (Isha Koppikar) goes undercover to capture the killer. The police squad mistakens Rahul as the rapist. What will happen?



What made me watch this movie is Jay Sean. He, Juggy D, and Veronica sang "One Night" in the film. OMG, I loved it.



Rahul is an innocent guy who just wants to find his soul mate. An astrologer advises him that his lady love will have a mole on her chest. He yearns to find her. However, he gets mistaken for being the serial rapist/killer but he doesn't know it yet.



I'm not a big fan of Tusshar. However, I did like him in his debut film, Mujhse Kucch Kehna Hai, and this film. He's not a bad actor but he's just not a star who I would go out and watch films of. He can be adorable and I enjoy his dancing.



Karan wants to fall in love. I think. Nah. He just want a partner. He's been hurt before. He yearns for this girl name Kiran. Well, he thinks that's her name. She came to see his boss DK. He thinks this Kiran lives in a mansion and is filthy rich.



Ritiesh Deshmukh is such an underrated actor. He's such a natural at comedy. One of my favorite films of his is Apna Sapna Money Money. I would love to see him do an all-out romantic role. With his goofy looks, I can see him pull a Raj from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayene or Sameer from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. All he has to do is be connected with the right people. Look what happened to Arjun Rampal and Shreyas Talpade.





Urmila Matondkar, no seriously, that's Isha's character in this film. LOL. She's a bad-ass cop. Even the men are scared of her! She's a hot-tempered tom boy who hates men who messes with females! Definitely the perfect choice to go undercover and capture this serial rapist/killer!



OMG, I loved Isha in this film! Her best yet! If you like Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality, then you'll fall head over heels for Isha Koppikar in Kya Kool Hai Hum! Getting a makeover, she turns into the hottest cop ever. Move over Gracie Hart! It's Urmila Matondkar for you. Not the real actress, the character, LOL.



Rekha, yeah Kya Kool Hai Hum is using well-known actresses' names. She is Kiran's sister and a psychologist.



Neha Dhupia doesn't have a huge role but she is looking great! Ever since Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and Mithya, the former model-turned-actress proves she can act. Beauty with brains.



DK (Rajendranath Zutshi) is Rahul and Karan's boss.



Rahul mistakenly thinks that this hot girl's name is Kiran.



But this is the real Kiran.



Bobby Darling has been seen in so many movies in small roles in films such as Page 3, Chalte Chalte, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, etc. I think he's hilarious!!!



Dr. Screwala, yes seriously, is played by Anupam Kher. He is a professional doctor who has a degree in criminal psychology and is helping the police with the investigation.



Parvati (Shoma Anand) is Mrs Screwala. She mistakenly thinks her husband is having an affair with undercover Urmila because she doesn't know what is going on!



Song #1 - "Kya Kool Hai Hum"
Just like the Wedding Crashers, best buddies Rahul and Karan crash a high school reunion pretending to be someone else. They say Kya Kool Hai Hum. Literally meaning How Cool We Are.







Song #2 - "Dil Na Churana" aka "One Night"
Song sung by Jay Sean, Juggy D, and Veronica. This song along is reason why I watched this film. DK has a fashion show and the British stars perform on stage.

Song #3 - "Chala Chala Chala"
The women seduce the men. Mrs Shrewala seduces her husband because she thinks he is having an affair so she's trying to be sexy. Urmila seduces Rahul because she thinks he is the rapist/killer and wants to catch him in the act. Rekha seduces Karan because Kiran is her brother/sister and wonders if Karan went the other way after she broke his heart.

Kya Kool Hai Hum is the first and only Bollywood comedy that has implied, innocent sexual contents. Although it's not as extreme as American Pie, I was surprise to see it in a Bollywood film. Now, this movie isn't for everyone. I don't expect that but if you want to watch a funny modern Bollywood film that is more Hollywood, then this is for you. Many Americans and Hmong people complain about Indian slapstick comedy. This is nothing like it. Watch it and tell me what you think. This review is for Ajnabi.



Here are examples of some implied, innocent sexual contents. So you be the judge if you think this is too much for you. Or just plain funny, like I did.

Rahul is running from his former landlord. While hanging on the balcony, it looks like he's a peeping tom.



Rahul works at DK's fashion store. He puts the naked mannequin in the car but the screw gets stuck on his shirt and is found in this position.

Heyy Babyy - what's up with the double y's?

Heyy Babyy is about three best friends Aroush (Akshay Kumar), Ali (Fardeen Khan), and Tanmay (Ritiesh Deshmukh) who are bachelors and are having the time of their lives. Until one day, a baby is placed at their doorstep to take care of since one of the is the father. But which guy? And who is the mother?



Yes, Heyy Babyy is the Bollywood version of Three Men and a Baby. I rolled my eyes at this movie at first because I knew it would be stupid - Three Men a Baby's storyline is so 90s. Plus you have three wannabe hip hop guys who think they are stud with a modern Vidya (she's been in traditional wear in all of her previous films) What's up with three guys? I've been seeing three - is that a lucky number? Think Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Shaadi No 1, Masti, etc. Also what's up with the double y's? Trying to make the title sound cool? After a long delay and watching arty Indian cinema, I decided to give this movie a try. Why not? I needed a good laugh. The music is great to dance to and I've been hearing the title song and "Mast Kalandar" everywhere!





Intro is cute and funny. Narrated by Akshay Kumar's character - Aroush - such a sexy voice too! First Tanmay is introduce. Teddy Tanmay who dresses up during the day time as a big, fluffy teddy bear to entertain little kids. At night, he entertains the ladies.





Ali aka Al. Don't you know it's more cool to sound less desi? A favorite to ladies, he loves to have fun and gamble. Most of the time, gambling to see which lady who will take home at night.





Let's not forget the narrator - Akoush. Three best friends. BFF for life! He's the confident stud who doesn't worry about his life. Not even the different ladies he's been with.





Then you have the cute baby Angel. She is sooo adorable!! This little girl turn these careless bachelors around. She help made them think about their lives and how selfish they have been to the females they've been with.





Vidya Balan is so beautiful. Many people criticize her modern look but I think she looks good either way. However, I do prefer her with traditional wear. She has that golden oldies look that matches traditional outfits more. It was good to see her go glamorous and modern. She's one of the few newcomers now that is really good. Isha is the mother of the cute Angel.



It's always great to see Bomran Irani on the screen. Many will remember him from Main Hoon Naa. He plays the father who was looking out for his daughter Isha but realizes his mistakes.



Overall, Heyy Babyy is not a great movie but it's worth it if you want brainless humor.
There were a lot of guest appearances in this movie. Not as many as Om Shanti Om though. I was pleased and surprise to see all the guest appearances (maybe I will review Om Shanti Om - I have the dvd and I saw it in the theater a while back).



The title song, which is the first song of the movie and an intro to the movie after Akshay Kumar narrates his friends and him. Who better than to start off an item song than the famous item girl, the hot MILF in Bollywood (I don't care what anyone says. I would die to have a body like her - she's a mom and is looking hot!!) Malaika Arora-Khan! I knew it was her when I saw the back of her figure and legs.



Celina Jaitley - not a fan of hers but I do think she's gorgeous



Minissha Lamba - like her, think she's good



Amrita Rao - cute girl, couldn't get a good cap of her



Tara Sharma - cute girl, I was waiting to see her big sis Kim in this song. Kim is seen more in Bollywood but Tara is cuter




Neha Dhupia - Knew she would be in this song. She's famous for being sexy. If Celina is in this song, why not Neha?




Dia Mirza - She's so adorable and cute. There's something about her that I really like. I don't think she's the best actress but I do like seeing her on screen.



Amisha Patel - for some reason, I was surprise to see her in this song. I'm not impress with her dancing and she used to be a bigger name back in the Kaho Naa Pyar Hai days but I do think she is cute. Hopefully I will see more Gadar films from her.



Sophiya Chaudhry - I'm a fan of her music. Love her voice! Most people don't like remixing Bollywood oldies into more modern, club upbeat songs but I love her style.



Masumi Makhija - I had to look her up. She was the only girl in this song I didn't know. I realized she's the girl opposite Jimmy Shergill in Dus Kahaniyan. She did a good job in the movie. She's really pretty and would like to see more of her.



Riya Sen - not really surprise to see her. I think she's one of the most beautiful Indian ladies. However, she can not act to save her life! Her sister Raima is a good actress though.



Koena Mitra - she's one of the best and underrated dancers in Bollywood. Loved her ever since I saw her in Road in the "Khullam Khulla Kare" song. I think she's gorgeous even though she's looking plastic lately.



Amirta Arora - wasn't surprised at all seeing her. Even though she's not as hot as sexy as her MILF older sister, I think she's cute.



Shamita Shetty - quite surprise to see her since she's the younger, infamous sister of Shilpa Shetty. Haven't seen her in a while. I would prefer seeing her do the whole song since she's a good dancer too.



Hrishtaa Bhatt - although she wasn't in the song, it was good just to see her. I think she's really cute. Most people will remember seeing her in Asoka. I think she looks like the Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano and the Telugu turn Hindi actress Genelia.



Shah Rukh Khan - almost forgot about him being in the movie. It was good seeing him for a few second. He looks really skinny in the movie and don't like the long hair in a ponytail.



Kim Sharma - if her little sister is in the movie, why not her?
