Jay Sean - got the ALL OR NOTHING cd & won tickets to see him!!

I'm sooooooooooooooooo freaking excited. I've been calling in to Q100 (very popular, Atlanta radio station) to win tickets for the Office Christmas Party that Q100 throws every year. This year, they are bringing Kelly Clarkson, Jay Sean, & Orianthi. Get this, you can *not* buy the tickets. You have to *win* them.



And I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Maybe that dream I had of Jay Sean a week ago was foreshadowing me seeing him again. Regardless, I have been on cloud nine for the past few hours.

Oh yeah, I got Jay Sean's new CD too. I pre-ordered it and got it on Monday. Those who pre-ordered got an autograph Jay Sean booklet too.



My review on the songs....

"Do You"
Loooooooooove it. So Jay Sean. This is the Jay Sean I know. What does that mean? Well, the USA got a taste of Jay Sean with "Down" and even though it's a huuuuuuge hit, that wasn't the Jay Sean I remember. Maybe it's Lil Wayne, lol. It's not like Jay didn't have rappers in his songs before. One of my faves from the CD, I am swaying my head and hips right now to it.

"Fire"
The song is actually good, but I don't really like the chorus too much. Too much of the repeating -- Fire, Desire, Fire, Desire, Fire, Desire.

"Down" f/ Lil Wayne
Okay, if you haven't heard this song yet. Where have you been? It hit #1 on the Billboard charts booting out Black Eyed Peas. Ya! You go Jay! When I first heard it, I have to admit, I didn't like it that much. It's a song that grows on you. Again, I think it's Lil Wayne. Watch the official music vid.

"Do You Remember" f/ Sean Paul & Lil John
Second song released. No official music video yet but you can listen to it. Don't really care for it. Maybe it'll grow on me? Must be another Lil problem, lol. Not a fan of Lil John's voice. I adore Sean Paul though and liked his piece. I actually like the song minus Lil John. His part reminds me of a dog barking in the background trying to get attention. Not trying to diss him or anything.

"Ride It"
Love it. From Jay's old track in the My Own Way CD. It was the first time I heard Jay enter the R&B/Hip Hop era. See the official music vid.

"Love Like This" (Eternally)
The title reminds me of the famous song with Natasha Bedingfield & Sean Kingston. The beats have an old school feel. Definitely catchy.

"If I Ain't Got You"
Two old school feels in a row! Beats are good. Like the end of the song, nursery rhyme.

"War"
One of my fave new songs from the CD. It's nothing like Jordan Spark's "Battlefield."
Looove this song, almost decided to write down the lyrics.

"Stuck in the Middle" f/ Jared Cotter
One of my fave songs from the My Own Way CD. Lyrics are amazing. Jared Cotter is a former American Idolist. I love how their voices compliment each other. Check the song out.

"Stay"
Another track from the My Own Way CD. Another favorite of mine. Yeah, I just love his songs. Check out the official music vid. That's Thara in the vid too.

"Lights Off"
I listen very carefully to the lyrics, it's about a guy going crazy missing a girl who left him. Really digging the lyrics and the melody.

"Down" (Candle Light Remix)
This version is awesome. Jay singing "Down" accapella style, not really, but it's a slow version with only the piano in the background. I really dig it.

Jay Sean - I had a weird dream of him

It's very rare that I have a dream of a celebrity.

Not even of my hotties, John Abraham or Allu Arjun.

Most of the time, I have dreamless nights.

The only dream that I could ever recall me having of any celebrity is of Saif Ali Khan. Back when Xanga was big, I blogged about it, but not in much detail. Sadly, I didn't save that post. I'm not a huge fan of his, but do think he's a good actor. But in the dream, he wanted me to like him. Till this day, I still don't see him in that way. Yes, he's attracted but just don't do it for me.



Just last night, I had a dream of Jay Sean. I've always loved Jay Sean. I fell in love with him ever since I've seen the "Stolen" music video. Plus my fave gal, Bipasha Basu, was in the video, which made me notice him more. Not only is he hot, but this guy can sing.



Thankfully for one of my friends, I was able to go to Jay Sean's concert and meet him back in 2005. I have kept the picture of him and me up and blew it to a 8x10. Not only that, I had 5, yes 5 pictures of him, and he signed EVERY one of them. Lots of love. (more info posted here)



It was because of him that I joined Twitter. He was definitely one of my all-time favorite hotties.

Jay has becoming really big within the past several months in the USA. His song, "Down" hit #1 on the Billboard charts! All my friends who knew how much I love Jay Sean contacted me to tell me they heard him on the radio, saying this is the same Jay Sean that I told them about.



As happy as I was for him, for some reason, I started not to love him as much as I used to.

I don't know why but I think success has gone to his head.

Well, why I do fault him? Do I really blame him?
Nope. He has worked hard for his accomplishments and success.



Sometimes the selfish girl inside of me wants him to remain "underrated" so I could love him more, so I could tell others how great he is. He has moved on in the USA. I really am happy for him.

The reason behind my selfishness is that I want to make it easier to meet him again. But now, he's very successful and it would definitely be harder to meet him again. Unless I have huge connections, and I don't.

So because of this reason, my love for Jay has been dying down. It's quite sad though. I've always wanted my American friends to see how great he was. Now, they have a little taste of Jay Sean, and I feel like this?



Last night, I did have a dream about him. It was short but sweet. You know how weird dreams can get.

Jay was in town. For some reason, I was doing some kind of interview with him, I think. We went to sit down. We were at a restaurant or something, and a presentation came on. He was concentrating on the presentation, instead of me. Then all of a sudden, he tells me that he is hungry and started to blurt out a list of what he wants to eat.

I write that list down and go to the kitchen. The cook was lazy and didn't want to fix it. The dishes were not clean. I started to clean up and started to prep some food. I have no idea what I was doing since he wanted a lot of Indian food. The only Indian food I could remember was biryani. Later, the cook felt sorry for me and was telling me that I must be a loyal fan of Jay to do all this for him since he's so stuck up now.

Next thing you know, Jay is outside of the kitchen and realizes my devotion to him and ask me to go to him. He kisses me really quick on the forehead and lips. He tells me that he has to go but will keep in touch.

That was it.

What a weird dream.



I interpret that dream to still be a Jay Sean fan regardless of how he's doing because I was one from the beginning.

I really should. I do that for a lot of Bollywood stars, particularly Salman Khan.

I shall be faithful, Jay Sean. I shall.

Kya Kool Hai Hum - most mature adult Bollywood comedy ever

Rahul (Tusshar Kapoor) and Karan (Ritiesh Deshmukh) are college buddies and roommates. Both work for DK (Rajendranath Zutshi), who owns a fashion clothing store. When they are unable to pay for rent and got evicted, they continue to sneak in the apartment to live. DK goes to America for a business trip and both guys stay at DK's house. Karan falls in love with a girl who mistakens for as Kiran. The real Kiran (Bobby Darling) is DK's girlfriend who he is ignoring. In the meantime, there is a serial rapist/killer. The best cop Urmila (Isha Koppikar) goes undercover to capture the killer. The police squad mistakens Rahul as the rapist. What will happen?



What made me watch this movie is Jay Sean. He, Juggy D, and Veronica sang "One Night" in the film. OMG, I loved it.



Rahul is an innocent guy who just wants to find his soul mate. An astrologer advises him that his lady love will have a mole on her chest. He yearns to find her. However, he gets mistaken for being the serial rapist/killer but he doesn't know it yet.



I'm not a big fan of Tusshar. However, I did like him in his debut film, Mujhse Kucch Kehna Hai, and this film. He's not a bad actor but he's just not a star who I would go out and watch films of. He can be adorable and I enjoy his dancing.



Karan wants to fall in love. I think. Nah. He just want a partner. He's been hurt before. He yearns for this girl name Kiran. Well, he thinks that's her name. She came to see his boss DK. He thinks this Kiran lives in a mansion and is filthy rich.



Ritiesh Deshmukh is such an underrated actor. He's such a natural at comedy. One of my favorite films of his is Apna Sapna Money Money. I would love to see him do an all-out romantic role. With his goofy looks, I can see him pull a Raj from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayene or Sameer from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. All he has to do is be connected with the right people. Look what happened to Arjun Rampal and Shreyas Talpade.





Urmila Matondkar, no seriously, that's Isha's character in this film. LOL. She's a bad-ass cop. Even the men are scared of her! She's a hot-tempered tom boy who hates men who messes with females! Definitely the perfect choice to go undercover and capture this serial rapist/killer!



OMG, I loved Isha in this film! Her best yet! If you like Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality, then you'll fall head over heels for Isha Koppikar in Kya Kool Hai Hum! Getting a makeover, she turns into the hottest cop ever. Move over Gracie Hart! It's Urmila Matondkar for you. Not the real actress, the character, LOL.



Rekha, yeah Kya Kool Hai Hum is using well-known actresses' names. She is Kiran's sister and a psychologist.



Neha Dhupia doesn't have a huge role but she is looking great! Ever since Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and Mithya, the former model-turned-actress proves she can act. Beauty with brains.



DK (Rajendranath Zutshi) is Rahul and Karan's boss.



Rahul mistakenly thinks that this hot girl's name is Kiran.



But this is the real Kiran.



Bobby Darling has been seen in so many movies in small roles in films such as Page 3, Chalte Chalte, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, etc. I think he's hilarious!!!



Dr. Screwala, yes seriously, is played by Anupam Kher. He is a professional doctor who has a degree in criminal psychology and is helping the police with the investigation.



Parvati (Shoma Anand) is Mrs Screwala. She mistakenly thinks her husband is having an affair with undercover Urmila because she doesn't know what is going on!



Song #1 - "Kya Kool Hai Hum"
Just like the Wedding Crashers, best buddies Rahul and Karan crash a high school reunion pretending to be someone else. They say Kya Kool Hai Hum. Literally meaning How Cool We Are.







Song #2 - "Dil Na Churana" aka "One Night"
Song sung by Jay Sean, Juggy D, and Veronica. This song along is reason why I watched this film. DK has a fashion show and the British stars perform on stage.

Song #3 - "Chala Chala Chala"
The women seduce the men. Mrs Shrewala seduces her husband because she thinks he is having an affair so she's trying to be sexy. Urmila seduces Rahul because she thinks he is the rapist/killer and wants to catch him in the act. Rekha seduces Karan because Kiran is her brother/sister and wonders if Karan went the other way after she broke his heart.

Kya Kool Hai Hum is the first and only Bollywood comedy that has implied, innocent sexual contents. Although it's not as extreme as American Pie, I was surprise to see it in a Bollywood film. Now, this movie isn't for everyone. I don't expect that but if you want to watch a funny modern Bollywood film that is more Hollywood, then this is for you. Many Americans and Hmong people complain about Indian slapstick comedy. This is nothing like it. Watch it and tell me what you think. This review is for Ajnabi.



Here are examples of some implied, innocent sexual contents. So you be the judge if you think this is too much for you. Or just plain funny, like I did.

Rahul is running from his former landlord. While hanging on the balcony, it looks like he's a peeping tom.



Rahul works at DK's fashion store. He puts the naked mannequin in the car but the screw gets stuck on his shirt and is found in this position.
